Nehru Zoological Park

After a long break, I am back with some new posts for my blog. My mobile was in repair and it took almost 2 months to get it repaired. But at last I got my mobile.

On 17th of August I went to Nehru zoological Park with my “Photography Guru” Mr. M Shobi. Nehru Zoological Park is the largest Zoo in India, located near Mir Alam Tank in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. It was established in 1963 and named after the first prime minister of the country, Jawaharlal Nehru. It is spread over an area of 300 acres (approx. 1.2 km²). It has a wide selection of animals - nearly 1,500 species of birds, animals and reptiles are housed here.

We had 3 cameras, Nikon D70 with sigma 170-500 Lens, Nikon D 80 with Sigma 70-300 mm Lens and my Nokia 5610 Mobile.

The climate was good for photography though, but not for zoo photography because last night it was rained heavily and in this climate animals become lazy. Any way, we thought to go out and get good snaps for our stock. We started at 10:45am from home and reached at 11:30am. Already we lost our first half, which is best for the photography. I, myself don’t have any digital SLR, it was my guru’s D80 with sigma 70-300 mm Lens which I was handling and my Nokia 5610 Mobile Camera.

The most interesting part is that, instead of shooting Zoo animals we shooted wild flowers and leaves beside the road. We spent 4 hours there and shoot so many photographs with the entire 3 Camera’s. We were so happy that we got some nice shoots. But when we reached home and transfer all the photographs in the computer, the result was shocking….

Only few of the pictures were good and that too taken from my “Nokia Mobile 5610”. Whatever I shooted with Nikon D80, all got shaked because I was not using the tripod. But really it made me so happy that even if I don’t have any Digital SLR, my Mobile Camera is good than enough. After seeing all the pictures taken from my mobile, my guru is now interested in buying one Nokia N82 (5 Mega pixel) mobile for mobile photography.

Hope you all enjoy this post and please comments on my work.
