Jagdalpur Day 2

2nd day again I went back to my granny’s backyard because I want some more appealing and poles apart pictures. Suddenly I saw a snail crawling slowly. This time my camera was giving me trouble, because of low battery and due to that I wasn’t able to get a desirable shot.

After charging the battery, again I started and this time I saw some drops hanging from leaf and trunk. I knew that, this would not be an easy task to focus a small drop of water with mobile camera. After dozen of clicks I got only 3-4 good shots, which I can use.

Jagdalpur Day 1

..This year I went to my native place to celebrate EID. I was in high spirits because after 2 years I am going to celebrate this festival at my home town. I stayed there for four days, and I utilized my holidays for photography too. Daily morning I woke up early for prayer and after that, I went out to get some good photographs for my blog.

On very fist day I choosed my granny’s backyard for photography. There were so many Varieties of plant in the garden. I got some good shots at morning time. I found that my mobile cam was unable to take close subject photograph in harsh sunlight. I was content, while clicking Dragonfly’s and spiders photos. I clicked so many shots but most of them were out of focus. But after several attempts I got it.

Nehru Zoological Park

After a long break, I am back with some new posts for my blog. My mobile was in repair and it took almost 2 months to get it repaired. But at last I got my mobile.

On 17th of August I went to Nehru zoological Park with my “Photography Guru” Mr. M Shobi. Nehru Zoological Park is the largest Zoo in India, located near Mir Alam Tank in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. It was established in 1963 and named after the first prime minister of the country, Jawaharlal Nehru. It is spread over an area of 300 acres (approx. 1.2 km²). It has a wide selection of animals - nearly 1,500 species of birds, animals and reptiles are housed here.

We had 3 cameras, Nikon D70 with sigma 170-500 Lens, Nikon D 80 with Sigma 70-300 mm Lens and my Nokia 5610 Mobile.

The climate was good for photography though, but not for zoo photography because last night it was rained heavily and in this climate animals become lazy. Any way, we thought to go out and get good snaps for our stock. We started at 10:45am from home and reached at 11:30am. Already we lost our first half, which is best for the photography. I, myself don’t have any digital SLR, it was my guru’s D80 with sigma 70-300 mm Lens which I was handling and my Nokia 5610 Mobile Camera.

The most interesting part is that, instead of shooting Zoo animals we shooted wild flowers and leaves beside the road. We spent 4 hours there and shoot so many photographs with the entire 3 Camera’s. We were so happy that we got some nice shoots. But when we reached home and transfer all the photographs in the computer, the result was shocking….

Only few of the pictures were good and that too taken from my “Nokia Mobile 5610”. Whatever I shooted with Nikon D80, all got shaked because I was not using the tripod. But really it made me so happy that even if I don’t have any Digital SLR, my Mobile Camera is good than enough. After seeing all the pictures taken from my mobile, my guru is now interested in buying one Nokia N82 (5 Mega pixel) mobile for mobile photography.

Hope you all enjoy this post and please comments on my work.

Know More About My Nokia 5610 Camera Features...

The 5610 is capable of producing fine quality images with its 3.2-megapixel camera that can be printed up to 6x4-inch standard photo size. It has autofocus built in, plus an automatic macroshot facility for getting sharp close in shots. There's also an 8x digital zoom.

The Nokia 5610 XpressMusic features a 3.2 megapixel camera with a dual-LED flash on its back panel, and a lower resolution secondary 3G video calling camera on the front of the phone.

Video recording is also possible on the 5610 XpressMusic, with the main camera capable of shooting maximum VGA quality (640x480 pixels) images at 15 frames per second. Videos downloaded or copied on to the 5610 can be played back at near-DVD quality on the display at 30 fps.

For still images, there are six image sizes you can choose from, from thumbnail size 120x160 pixels shots (for adding to phonebook contacts) up to the top 1536x2048 pixels size for top quality prints.

The 5610 has a dedicated camera key on the side, which doubles up as a capture key when the phone is held in landscape mode. The volume key on the side can be used for the zoom.

The cameraphone can switch between portait and landscape shooting modes with menus shown accordingly. However, settings adjustments for the camera are fairly limited; brightness can be adusted and there are five white blanace settings (including auto) for indoor and outdoor light situations. The flash can be switched on and off or left to auto, and there's a night mode that can be engaged too.

There's a multi-shot sequence option, and self-timer, plus a bunch of three colour effects - sepia, greyscale or negative - that can be added before shooting. In addition, Nokia provides a few post-shooting basic editing options, so shots can be cropped, text added or clip-art or other images imposed on captured shots.

The quality of images taken by the Nokia 5610 XpressMusic is impressive, however. The camera can capture fine detail and colour rendition in complicated shots, and adjusts well on automatic settings to varying light conditions.

The addition of autofocus is a real plus point, and helps to get more precise images. The two-step capture button allows proper framing before shooting the image. Close up shots too are vastly improved by the macroshot capability - although it does require a bit of trial and error to get close shots sharp. The phone takes a second or two from when the capture button is pressed to process shots, which some users might also find tiresome.

However, overall the 3.2-megapixel camera is a real plus point of a phone that sells itself more on its music abilities than its camera qualities.
